Dearest John,
Listening to your music is always for me a mystical experience. But no time more than dec 31 2022 i had just learned of my sisters sudden death earlier that eveni g and shortly after you delivered your beautifully melodious piece Ghosts. My companion in my grief.
I write this on the beach, listening to the not so melodious sounds of Banda! The roughly 10 piece beach bands consist mostly of young musicians getting together to jam and entertain the tourists. And of course, make a few dineros. And entertaining it is, especially when watching audience members dancing in attempt to keep up to the crazy beat of a tuba! Music, in all its guises, always and forever. Gracias mi amigo.

Thanks for sharing your link. We are into a week of snowy weather, with wind; rain on the coast. The hens don't like winter!

I've enjoyed dipping into your website, John, and learning more about you. I especially appreciate the notes that accompany the audio tracks. Also great to read about your father, and looking at his visual art and then listening to your music.

PS - now enjoying your electroacoustic music - Glory Be (1981) and Exercises on the Modes (1974) bring back some of the wonder of electronic music back in those days. Nice work.

Enjoying your Improv for David #2 - I can hear why it's been highly complimented. Also enjoyed the "little ditty" as you call it, Crickets Entr'acte 2013. Nice website.

Am listening to the recordings now and really enjoying them. Especially liking the Clarinet pieces (but then I am just a wee tad biased in that dept. And your father's paintings were the icing on the cake this morning!

It was an honour to premiere several of your works over the years. I am in Mexico right now with spotty internet service so having difficulty listening to your pieces. Will do so when I return to Canada. Well done!

I always knew there was genius lurking in your every cell and your music proves my belief, John. So impressive, I am elated as your sounds just hang, resonating in the air. An amazing roster of work!
